Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: The crossing at the Blue trail terminus is flowing a little better now, but not tricky yet. All of the crossings on Anna-Mack are straightforward too.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: There have been a bunch of blowdowns in the past several weeks. One large just north of Old Stage heading up to Anna that will take a big hand saw. A new large blowdown (or pair of them) coming off of Anna towards Mack. A previously existing large blowdown is still there, just past the new one. A smaller stepover or two on Anna-Mack. A stepover on Klem-Mack just before the final descent to Round Pond. I'll try to come back for these in the next couple weeks, probably starting with the one on the Klem-Mack.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: It would be nicer not to encounter yellow snow on the trail.
Bugs
Bugs: None.
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: None.

Comments
Comments: We carried spikes but never needed them. That may change this week as spots may ice over. Most places north of Old Stage would work with snowshoes but the snow cover is very thin on the south facing legs of this trail, and there was no need for snowshoes on Anna-Mack or Klem-Mack. There were only a few 20-30 yard stretches of unpacked powder, all on the Klem-Mack near the awesome view.

A herd trail from the peak of Klem to the Klem-Mack is a new, unwelcome, unsanctioned development. It also misses the awesome view. Other developing herd trails between upper West Precipice and the Red just south of Anna. Please stay on the trails.
