Comments
Comments: More dogs than people out there today! Four dogs to three people, myself and Buttercup included. All dogs seemed to have us humans in order with no issues other than Champney attempting to run off with my jerky snack. Tuckerman ran circles around me, and Toolie (Thule?) was supervising trail work, radio equipped and all. It was nice to meet the owners, too. ;)

More snow is coming so this will be moot soon, but right now conditions are great. Microspikes and snowshoes are a must. The path is now well laid down but much of it at elevation is still unconsolidated and needs more snowshoeing. I brought K10 crampons and would have used them on the ledges if it were not for happening upon a kind human who lent some assistance which saved me from having to stop and change out the snowshoes. The snow isn't deep enough to make the ledges "smaller" yet and it's hard to get toe-holds in the tight spaces with snowshoes. Microspikes would probably accomplish it fine, but I think the K10s would have been my preferred tool of choice if I were already removing my snowshoes.
