| Comments: |
Trail was packed for 19 mile brook. One of wore microspikes. One of us bare booted. Both were adequate.when we reached the jct for the ridge and to the hut.. the trail to the hut was not broken out… looked like one person had done it sans snowshoes.
Wildcat ridge however had been broken out with some fresh snow cover. We put snowshoes on for the ridge which had more fresh snow accumulation.
Hiked down the ski trail but they do open Dec 4th so unclear what the policy regarding hikers will be.
This direction was the best choice today. We met two hikers who had come up polecat and essentially “ broken trail” for most of it. |
