| Comments: |
We approached Blue NW from the NW, beginning at the gate for Forest Road 508, also called Ham Brook Rd. on some maps. We began in microspikes, following the overgrown logging road. At a point, we jumped into the woods to gain the ridge, and we all changed to snowshoes (which we used for the rest of the hike). A later start and slow-going breaking trail meant that we broke out just this one peak, not its sister NE peak. |
