Comments
Comments: Many bent over trees with snow frozen on so that it wasn't just a matter of knocking the snow off to straighten them. You will want a waterproof shell even if it's a nice day. I cleared a handful of blowdowns but many need a bigger saw then I had.

I wasn't originally going to post this hike because there was new snow expected but it now looks like it won't be enough to fill in our tracks so I decided to go ahead and post. We barebooted from Seven Dwarfs, crossed the river at the private driveway's bridge (do not use traction on the bridge), and took the snowmobile trail to Haystack Rd & North Twin Trail. We easily barebooted all the way to the Little River crossing. We put spikes on the the crossing and used them all the way to the first view before the North Twin summit. That part of the trail was well packed and we did not leave boot prints. From there we used snowshoes the rest of the day until we got halfway down Gale River trail. The trail from North Twin to South Twin was lighlty broken out but no one had been from there to the hut on Twinway. Frost Trail to Galehead was not broken out and we did NOT do it! Someone had barebooted up Gale River trail to within 1/4mi of the hut then turned around. We used snowshoes on the way down until we got about halfway down Gale River trail.
