We cleared one blowdown around 1:15 PM…the rest of the trail was in fantastic shape. |

We headed up at 11:00 and enjoyed a well-packed trail. Barebooted until the viewpoint and then donned snowshoes for the rest of the day. A few places where seepages made it boney and the water crossings were basically down to bare rock, but other than that, there is enough snow coverage for snowshoes the whole time if that’s your preference. Not quite enough snow for sledding yet, but almost there. Winds were way less than forecast (light and variable at the summit around 12:45) and sky cover wasn’t nearly as high. It was a beautiful day! Fingers crossed that tomorrow is just as nice. |
