 | Comments: |
I was the only one who went up to the summit of Carrigain today so I wound up breaking trail the whole way. Lower down there were only a few inches of fresh snow but higher up it was closer to 6-8 inches with higher drifts in places. Also there were a fair number of snow-laden branches hanging across the trail that sometimes had to be crawled under. Signal Ridge was particularly challenging - huge soft snow drifts and I was sinking up to my knees in snowshoes. Used snowshoes the whole time. |
