Snowshoes door to door. Trail is pretty well defined, but a bit narrow, going up Ammo. Some branches weighed down with snow and ice, but can easily be ducked under. Ice/hard snowpack on Crawford from Lake of the Clouds, but snowshoes still recommended. Going down the Cog is a bit tricky given that there is so much snow and nothing much is packed down. Some sections are hard to get traction on but still very doable, albeit a bit slower than usual. A bunch of skiers were out today which is the way to go. Temps were in the high 20's with minimal wind which made this a good day! |
