 | Comments: |
Only need spikes if only going to Pierce, leave snowshoes in the car because they'll get snagged going through the blow downs. The blow downs are easy to get through, no issues.
If going to Eisenhower, too, you'll definitely want snowshoes, as immediately after the Pierce approach turnoff, it gets softer with deep snow drifts. Easy/mild effort this part of the trail.
Several blow downs to navigate othus halfs of the trail, a little tougher when wearing snowshoes. Moderate effort this part of the trail. |
