 | Water Crossing Notes: |
Water was running little high. We crossed on the old trail (left at fork) on the way up, it's not able to rock hop. I found shallow water to keep water below boot height, others used trash bags. You'll need to cross another section shortly after that is rock-hoppable Took the new trail on the way out which was an easier crossing but still need to submerge a foot or two. You can find shallow rocks to the left or pick a path over the larger rocks and downed tree. |
|
 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Multiple blowdowns high up and some appear to be from this week. Between the ridge and summit there are no less than six large blowdowns that block the trail. |

 | Comments: |
Sawyer River Rd is still snow covered from the start. There are "no snowmobiles / trail closed" signs up which makes me wonder if it will not open this winter due to the washout.
Signal Ridge Trail was mostly supportive enough to boot this morning. I did put on snowshoes near the water crossing but others had no issues with just spikes to the summit. There are sections down low that were washed out with the rains, but still a deep snow base up high. Most of the traffic has gone left at the fork so that is more packed down. |
