The Jefferson Snow Field you need Crampons. It's very icy. hill sound Microspikes and Crampons are highly recommend. The trails in the higher summits need more snow to cover those rocks. rock Spikes from Start to Finish would be my recommendation until you reach the Jefferson snow field bring those heavy duty Crampons and Ice Axe. Snowshoes had a free ride. Between Jefferson and Adams it was rocky and some snow spots. Lowes Path to Adams was rocky and cold windiest part of the whole day. the Weather really held out for a perfect JAM crossing. thank you weather gods. hiked out valley way. which is in great shape. very Icy Sections between the Valley Way Spikes were on the whole day. three down trees that you have to move around. awesome day to JAM. |
