Comments
Comments: Out and back hike via Moat Mountain Trail. After the rain last week the trail was very icy. There were many, many ice flows on the trail in the last two miles of the approach to the summit. Microspikes were very useful. Aside from the ice, the snow on the trail was packed down (or not much snow). There were also bare spots from the rain last week. I would estimate only 8-10" of snow on the summit with some deeper drifts and more snow in crevices.
