Surface Conditions: Ice - Blue, Snow - Packed Powder/Loose Granular

Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: ammonoosuc river is iced enough to make the rocks dangerous, but the ice isn't quite thick enough to walk on yet. Recommend scouting around for a good spot to cross until the ice thickens a bit.

Trail Maintenance Notes: Alpine Zone sign appears to be gone, one small deadfall spruce between the Alpine sign and Lake of the Clouds, easily stepped over.

Lost and Found
Lost and Found: Found: One snow basket When I got down to the lot I found I was the only car left, so the owner must have parked at the cog. I left it on the picnic table at ammo ravine lot.

Comments: Great day, the weather was hairy for a while but about 15 minutes after I started down from Washington the skies cleared and there was a wonderful cloud inversion.
