Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Lots of bent and broken trees littering the trails. I cut out many branches and smaller trees to get through. But many remain, mostly on Lend-a Hand and the upper section of Twinway. Only a few larger than 6" on the Twinway near Zealand.

Comments
Comments: Barebooted Zealand Road. Hale Brook Trail is in good condition for spikes. Land-a-Hand is rough with lots of trees down and unconsolidated base. I spiked it due to numerous frozen boot holes. Twinway to Zeacliff is in good shape for spikes. Twinway from Zeacliff to Zealand and Guyot, and Bondcliff Trail to Bond and was mostly unconsolidated with minor drifting. Snowshoes worked best. Snowshoes also on West Bond Spur. Then back to spikes. Lots of exposed rock on the Bondcliffs. Bondcliff Trail south was hard packed all the way back to Lincoln Woods Trail, except for lots of bare rock where the rain washed out the snow. And a fair amount of ice flows on the trail.
Still lots of downed trees and branches to contend with, but most are partly out of the way. Bring a hand saw to trim some back as you hike.
