Comments: 19 MB has a little bit of everything, could be bare booted I wore spikes. Well packed all the way to the hut, I was staying the night so I dropped some weight here. Wildcat Ridge Trail is also well packed until you come to the blowdown areas. Too many to count, herd paths started but be aware of unconsolidated snow/postholes. Thank to those who broke these out, it’s really a mess, slow going. Once on A I decided to go for D….big mistake. I made it to just past B, the blowdowns were non-stop. Trying to follow or breakout herd paths was exhausting and time consuming. A few had been out but it’s just a mess. Took me over an hour to get to B, & I still had to come back so I called it. Only saw 2 others on A & no one coming from D.

This whole trail is going to require a lot of work to clear, saw, axe, maybe even 2-person saw. Lots of trees down are frozen on the trail. I maybe cleared 2-3 branches.
