Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: My dog did fine. The ice under the snow was a little challenging in booties because she would catch some surprise slick spots, yet the snow was balling in her doodle fur and that becomes deal breaking if she doesn't have booties on. It's something to be aware of with all the ledges.

Lost and Found
Lost and Found: A set of copper colored Salomon poles were left at the kiosk. They weren't there when I started and I only saw two small groups all day, so likely either left or found/left by them.

Comments
Comments: Gorgeous! It was right after 6-8" of new, fluffy snow. A few people were ahead of me in bare boots and/or microspikes, but I was in snowshoes all the way up and most of the way down. When I went down I couldn't tell I had had snowshoed on the way up because the snow was so unconsolidated and had been re-walked in boots. There's a lot of ice under the snow on the slabs/ledges/rocks and that was challenging. On the way down I thought a few areas would be easier/safer in microspikes so I switched and regretted it. The snowshoes had been providing much better traction and I was slipping in spikes. Some light crampons would have probably helped and I wished I brought mine, so I checked that box.
