Comments
Comments: Beautiful day today including an Undercast. Went up with another hiker from Hiking Buddies NH 48. Started out going up Polecat Trail at the ski resort before looping over Wildcat Ridge Trail and down Nineteen Mile Brook. Lots of unpacked fresh powder (about 6”) for most of the hike, necessitating snowshoes most of the way. Met one other hiker doing an out and back over Wildcat Ridge from the Carter Notch hut. Switched over to spikes around the junction with the Carter dome Trail as the snow cover became a little more bony and didn’t want to damage snowshoes. Conditions should be decent over the next few days
