Comments
Comments: I barebooted much of the Wonalancet Range Trail, which was well-packed, then I micro-spiked until I branched onto the shortcut, when I switched to snowshoes. At the upper junction with the W.R. Trail, the previous tracks ended, and I was the first human to go through, although there were many, many Bullwinkle postholes for several hundred meters. I broke out the trail from there to the Walden Trail and then on to the west end, where it hits the East Loop below the summit. The Walden Trail has several steep areas which were very tricky with ice (ascending Nanamocomuck Peak from the south). I changed back to microspikes, although crampons would not be overkill. Above the steep, I returned to snowshoes until the intersection with Dicey's Mill, which is well-packed, as has been reported before.
