Comments
Comments: Wanting to take advantage of the temperature inversion today we snowshoed up Ammo to the hut, over to Monroe and then up to Washington. Took the cog down. Trail was very well packed but lots of fluffy chuff on top so snowshoes just made it easier (most of us had them today). Monroe was bony and made snowshoes a challenge in some spots here - they were not always digging in. Same was true of Crawford path over to washy - always a couple awk side hills here. Coming down the dog was fine except for those two no fall parts you hate - of course they were super bony, sheer, icy, etc. It was like the two spots where you could have put spikes on for like 50 feet. We dug in our snowshoes and just went slow. Absolutely beautiful day up top! Pics on insta at elizacal
