Amazing day for the Presis. We wore snowshoes from the parking lot to just above tree line. There, we switched to spikes. The section above tree line all the way over to Jefferson is pretty postholed, but there’s so much rock sticking out that there isn’t really any other option. This report will probably become obsolete very rapidly, but those going to the northern Presis tomorrow (if anyone) can leave the crampons and ice axe at home. |
