Crossings easy to manage. Some ice bridges in the first mile were not particularly stable. |

I barebooted the first two miles of Ammo as it was still firm but then put on snowshoes which would remain on until the descent of Jewell. Snowshoes worked well for the majority of that time, other than a few bony sections on Monroe and down along Gulfside. I got wet descending Jewell as the snow on the trees was quickly melting. Towards the bottom the ground was getting quite slushy. I imagine the trail will look very different now. |
