Comments
Comments: We started in light traction from the car but switched to snowshoes, mainly for the televators, shortly after starting up Hi-Cannon. The trail is in excellent condition. It's is well packed (soft packed snow over hard base). There's several significant patches of ice above the ladder, which are unavoidable so should have traction. We managed to ascend the ladder in snowshoes but opted to descend the trail & ladder in light traction. Gorgeous day but it was frigid & howling winds at the summit making for a very brief visit. Thankfully, we were protected from the wind below tree-line. Many thanks to Donna D for joining me on my quest.
