 | Comments: |
I was the first one to make recent tracks on upper Edmands Path, when descending Eisenhower. Deep drifts of unstable snow were present. , and high snow levels that put me in the tree tops
The East side of Monroe had large, and steep snow fields that were difficult and risky to cross. Ammo was well packed out. I wore my snowshoes, but spikes could've been fine. Switched to crampons at LOTC Hut. Upper Edmands has really deep snow, where snow shoes were 100% necessary. Also bring a saw if you try Eisenhower via Edmands!
