The hike started with a great debate - to snowshoe or to spike? I opted for those beautiful snowshoes and boy was I happy. The snow had a tendency to muck up the micros with an ice plate (my partner had to keep kicking rocks - lol - to get the ice off). The trail is tight and if you wander off the trail (even by a little) you will be in a post hole paradise. The snow wasn’t high but the bite from the snowshoe traction was much better. Stick to the far left for the final for the easiest accent to the top. Blustery, cold day out but the trees were a winter wonderland. Rock on. |
