Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Trail is in amazing shape vs a few weeks ago. Shout out to Teal Goat and all the other good saw-maritans out there. One or two duck unders. There are a couple big fellas that are cracked and popping in the cold wind, still standing but I don’t think they will be all winter.

Dog-Related Notes: Jackson stayed home with his friend Jake today.
Bugs
Bugs: If there were they got blown into the Pemi.

Comments
Comments: This trip report will self destruct in less than 24 hours, but the main point I wanted to get across is there’s already more snow up high than people think. Don’t let the lack of a “proper storm” fool ya. We put snowshoes on around 3000 feet and were happy to have them. It has been flurrying on and off all week up here and there is plenty of drifted snow all around the whites.

4 sets of snowshoes vs 3 barebooters vs 2 fat bikers (the tires, not the guys)…so we sort of got a decent track down.

Summit Cone is windblown with some exposed rock. The forecasted midday lull in the wind never came today, we got tossed around pretty good up there, it was a blast. Can’t beat Moose on a bluebird day after a week of gray, it was magical.
