A little bit of everything. No perfect foot gear for the first bit. Once the real climbing begins, snowshoes are handy, even if awkward in a few spots. There was a lot of unconsolidated snow, slipping backwards, etc. I was about to give up when a capable young man went breezing by in his snowshoes.
So a shout out to Sean for breaking through drifts, etc all the way to Flume!
A few familiar faces were out enjoying the day as well. I reckon that about 7 people in snowshoes have been on this particular route today. |
