Comments
Comments: We used spikes the whole day. Definitely not enough snow for snowshoes near the bottom. The top could go either way but it's not fully filled in and the snowshoes would make it more difficult to maneuver the blowdowns. For the first 4 miles we were the first ones out today and several areas were completely blown in with 3-5" of new snow and a few deeper drifts. There is ice under the new snow but except for one or two spots it is all granular/crunchy and spikes had good traction. The ledges required some care esp coming down due to loose snow.
