Comments
Comments: Miserable kinda way out there. Unconsolidated powder for the win. Not enough snow for snowshoes, but you'll slide around in anything else. Lincoln Woods was ice with a thin coating of snow. We bare booted to Black Pond then donned spikes. Switched to snowshoes after Brutus. The top has some good deep drifts, but not insane. Snowshoes stayed on until we were about halfway through the Brutus then we switched back to spikes for better control. Spikes stayed on to the parking lot. There's just not enough pack to make any traction ideal, so it's a pick-your-own adventure world out there. I opted to just take everything. A long day, but we had fun.
