Snowshoes the whole way. We broke trail up to Mount Martha and then over to Owlshead. Not much of a trail breaking since there was only a few inches of fresh powder. All cloudy so no views today. Handful of blowdowns along the trail you have to go around, one made us almost lose the trail. Going up and down the last bit to Owlshead was exciting, particularly down due to the slippery snow and ice. This was really the only ice we encountered though. Saw a few other people but fairly low traffic day. |
