Headed up the ski trail around 5 AM. We went with snow shoes because of the televators (duh) and opted to keep them on all the way until the junction of wildcat Ridge Trail and 19 mile. The ridge trail is in fantastic shape with a beautiful snowshoe track and minimal drifting. Heading down from wildcat a was also in very good shape. We are not expecting the trail to be so solid in the section but no post holes and trail is quite firm. 19 mile is quite bony with some ice flows. Micros were the right choice here. We passed about three other groups on our way out and we were back to the parking lot around 9:30. |
