Comments
Comments: Well what a no so simple day. We barebooted for an hour and put on snowshoes after the largest open rock/wet area. The snow was turning to sand which was annoying,m. We swapped to snowshoes and went up to the engine hill whack and went in. Counted 31 total people out today which is crazy for iso on a weekend in the winter still. The engine hill whack…. All I can say is whoever set this (thank you for your hard efforts) but ouff was this the worse one I have taken or help laid yet. So many twists and turns and too high to then cut straight down to the trail too early. We went up trail to iso express… started off great and then went to all mess probably the whole way. We zigged up high, then zigged low on the normal route. It added .5 total for the day because of all the ups and downs that were highly unnecessary. We wanted to fix the tracks but they took too much out of us just trying to make sense to even follow them… we just stuck with them. Thankfully I will not have to see this track every again (be back in the summer to grid it out). It was snowing on our way out. We kept snowshoes on up until .5 (2nd ski trail sign) then barebooted to the car. Great day still out!
