| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Parked at the small lot next to gas station. Starr King Road was drivable, with about 10 cars there when we got done. Looks like some folks also parked at the golf club as their whole lot was plowed. Usual snowmobile lot is not plowed, so I wonder if the golf club is the place to park for winter this year? |

Perfect winter Waumbek day!
Snowshoes start to finish except for the roadwalk. There’s enough coverage everywhere for snowshoes. We saw lots of other people carrying their shoes, but we all had the “if I’m taking them, I’m wearing them” mindset. Once you got into the conifers, the snow was immaculate. Best snowshoeing conditions of the year so far.
Obviously, this report will be moot in 24 hours. Hopefully the track continues to get snowshoe love after the storm moves through. |
