What an amazing day on Adams & Madison. Sunny with an undercast - I'm sure I'll have a sun burn. Almost no wind. Only saw 7 people and a few more in the distance that probably came from Gray knob. Spikes most of the day. Used snowshoes last 1/2 - 3/4 mile before hut and kept them on thru low scrub on way to Adams. We ran into a guy who came up airline, snowshoes not needed. Others who took the airline link from airline over to Madison, lots of drifts & postholing. I know this report will become useless after snow & cold but it was a great day in the northern presi's. Not sure where all the people were on this holiday weekend but the weather report was great! |
