Picked up 2-3 inches of fluffy powder from last night's storm. No one had been out yet, so I opted for a light snowshoe (a mountain snowshoe with large crampons would have been vexing), which seemed to be ideal for the powder on top of the hardpack base. Snow was not packing too well, and the wind was pushing it around a bit.
Beautiful clear morning with temperatures in the teens and a breeze. Nice to see the lakes covered in snow finally. |
