Comments
Comments: Terrific loop as always (we did CCwise). Waterfalls on Mt Kineo Trail were well-covered with snow so we couldn't see much. Snow was deep on the north end of the loop. Three ponds frozen pretty solid. I was happy I had snowshoes but you could bareboot. On the return from the shelter, we just took the snow machine trail the entire 2.3 miles back to car - way easier than pushing through the drifted snow. Evidence of snow machine travel in the more distant past. When we completed loop, it sure was wierd to look back at the junction and see that our tracks were quite possibly the ONLY ones on the loop, completing the loop at that junction. Super cool.
