Comments
Comments: Went counterclockwise. Trail was mostly packed powder up to Welch. Some ice, spikes worked fine. Drifts and shin-deep powder in places between first overlook to Welch, and Welch to Dickey and over to ledges. Short sections, mostly walked in packed tracks (1-2 people had been there since Monday's snow. I began at 8:00 this morning, -12 degrees up to 10. Little wind so stayed plenty warm.) Snowshoes went for a ride -- drifted sections were short. Beautiful icicles on way to Welch and beyond Dickey ledges. No one else in parking lot at 7:50. Saw no one on trail. Two cars had parked when I returned. Another beautiful morning on Welch Dickey!
