Note on trailhead because the private road confused me: Go down Little River Road to the private road bridge on the right, cross, and go up road/hill, you'll see a clearly marked trail sign or the left that leads to Haystack Road/FR304. Places where you shouldn't go are marked as such. |

| Comments: |
There was a followable breakout of the trail left before the last snow. This helped. I'm sure trail finding while breaking out this trail is possible, but that might have turned us around today. Mainly because checking maps while it's in the single digits is unpleasant. You know who you are if doing this blind is up your alley. The three of us used snow shoes, but the snow was a fine powder, so it'll probably only serve to guide the next person more than make it easy. There are many head-high snow-filled trees to dodge in the last stretch.
