Terrific afternoon after a fun morning skiing/snowboarding the resort. We briefly considered carrying our snowboard and skis because we already had a day pass but decided it would be more efficient to just book it to the top and book it down. We were happy with a sub-3 hour RT hike from Lot 7. Saw large groups descending as we went up. At 1pm to start, we thought we would be the last ones up but someone was heading up as we were halfway down. Beautiful woods - no wonder this is so popular on a Saturday!!! Did the summit loop - took right fork to get to summit and completed the loop to descend. Not my favorite route to summit but we got it done. Around 16F degrees at base at 1pm. Didn't stay long at summit. |
