Beautiful day on the Hancocks! Great trail conditions. I used microspikes for the majority of the trail and used snowshoes on the steep climb up to North Hancock and on the ridge to South Hancock, which really helped grip the loose powder on the steep trail. The rest of my group carried their snowshoes but only used microspikes for the whole hike and were fine. At South Hancock I switched to microspikes for the butt slide down. Awesome butt slide down from South Hancock, the best one I’ve ever done. Drifts are currently packed down on the ridge. Bluebird day! |
