Comments
Comments: Beautiful, Spring-like morning in the mountains today. Sunny, warm, no wind. Trails are packed out for the most part with the exception of several sections on the way over to Willey. These sections were essentially boot prints of 6-8 inches deep with occasional post holes.A hiker,Sandy, whom I met at the junction of the Willey Range and AZ trails, was on snowshoes, going over to Willey so this should help smooth out the rough spots. My snow shoes are broken so I used microspikes all day. No ice issues anywhere, even on the Avalon spur. Surface snow on the trails was getting pretty sticky by mid day. Not sure what will fall tonight but conditions may change significantly. Finally on the threshold, completing 45-47 for this Winter season.
