Comments
Comments: Conditions are great for this whole loop right now! A nice solid base with some loose powdery snow on top for most of the trails. Road walk is solid snow - I barebooted in but then wore snowshoes out until I hit the highway. Put on snowshoes for ascending Hale and kept them on the rest of the hike. Up Hale was solid base with loose powder on top. Lend-A-Hand was the least-traveled of the trails - I think you definitely want snowshoes for this. Lots of soft snow and big drifts. Twinway up to Zeacliff was solid and had seen lots of traffic. The route out to Zealand was less-traveled and more drifted but still had a solid base so everything went quickly.

I went a little ways past the Zealand spur to check trail conditions and it looks like things are similar heading toward Guyot - solid base with a couple of inches of loose powder on top.
