Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Snowbridged, however I broke through a large hole on my way back across (the one furthest up the trail just before Brutus). I was wearing snowshoes and dropped down 2 feet to the rocks below, luckily the water was very shallow so my socks stayed dry!

Comments
Comments: The forecast posted at the ranger station called for 100 mph winds and -70 windchills. It was cold and windy but certainly not that bad. Sun was out all day. Barely enough drifting snow to make it worth bringing snowshoes but I put them on for traction on the steep climb up and down Brutus, and the deep drifts on the summit. Saw 2 others on the summit. Not my favorite hike in the world but trail conditions were decent at least (except for when I broke through into the river), and a successful winter summit was had.
