Short and sweet today due to the wind and cold.
Unplowed Hedgehog Mountain Rd. had been driven by trucks and was packed down a bit. The hiking trail had a good snowshoe track that had been drifted in with a couple inches of soft powder. Spikes could have worked but I wore 'shoes round-trip to keep things in good shape and for added traction on the steeper bits. Still plenty of rocks and roots under the snow though.
Clear views on top but I didn't stay long because of the chill. |
