Fabulous day today on the Moose and we had it all to ourselves. We punched the golden ticket !! Snow shoes on from bottom to top and back to bottom again! Light airy powder and very unconsolidated after the last snowfall, but a few more pairs of snow shoes will pack it out very nicely and make it a fabulous trail. Above tree line was heavily wind drifted and deep in the door trees just before the summit. We did an out and back on Gorge Brook Trail, so we have nothing to report on South Peak, carriage Road or snapper Trail. Gorge Brook Road is in decent shape. No ice to speak of. |
