Very cold morning to start the day! Barebooted the first road walk then switch to snowshoes for the remainder of the hike. Snowshoes were very much required once the trail starts going uphill consistently. Conditions for last two miles to the summit included packed trail, drifted spots and loose snow in some sections. Overall it is a nice snowshoe track most of the way. Lots of others out with snowshoes today and only a few without, the ones without were definitely postholing in some spots. Hopefully the last people down are wearing snowshoes and smooth out the trail. |
