Comments
Comments: Snowshoes all the way with the fresh 3-4 inches of looser powder at the start. There is a pretty good trough for most of this route and the trails are in good condition. Some older bareboot prints, mostly between Old Clough Road and North Straightback. The new snow allowed me to stomp them out. Stickier towards the end as it warmed up.
The climbs up to Rand and North Straightback were the most problematic, as there is still some exposed ice and rocks. Spikes could be used here, but not necessary. Coming down from Klem was pretty much like skiing in my snowshoes.
