Comments
Comments: Snowshoes door to door. About 4-6" inches of new snow over the established trough had to be broken out. Thanks to Zan, who arrived at the same time and made the day go by so much easier by powering thru the powder. Brutus was challenging - by the late morning, the snow was softening and balling up under the shoes, making it hard to grip along the steeps. Coming down was terrifying, like a luge. 2 poles were destroyed in the attempt. By the time I returned to Lincoln Woods, that section had been pretty firmly packed down by many feet out enjoying the beautiful day.
