 | Comments: |
Cabin Trail was partially broken out by XC skiers. At 0.4 miles, the ski trail bears left and Cabin Trail goes straight up a gentle slope. Be careful at this junction. Don't follow the tracks to the left.
After 0.4 miles, Cabin Trail was covered in 6-12 inches of light powder. I broke trail up to the junction of Whitin Brook Trail. I intended to take Whitin Brook Trail (also unbroken) to Big Rock Cave Trail, but I was done breaking trail for the day. Instead, I followed my tracks back down Cabin Trail to the car.
Back at the trailhead, I met another snowshoer who said he was going to break out Big Rock Cave Trail. So, week-day warriors are doing their bit, but it looks like more snow before the weekend. |
