This will be possibly obsolete by morning, but maybe not entirely as at least any Sunday hikers will know that the Twins were fully broken out today. There’s not a ton of new snow down low—a couple inches—but it filled in very quickly going up North Twin. By the steep section, we were easily going through a foot or more of snow. The section between the Twins was not too bad. A lot of the snow had clearly been blown off, so the trail breaking was less arduous there. It took our strong group about 11 hours to do both Twins, so it was definitely a solid trail break. Until the snow fills it in, the trail is in great shape. |
