Parking/Access Road Notes: large parking lot on the left, at the start of Sawyer river rd.
Surface Conditions
Surface Conditions: Snow - Unpacked Powder
Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment: Snowshoes
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: no issues, all water crossings are frozen over, except one, but it's really shallow, and you can easily rock hop it.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: only one large blowdown that I can remember, but you can easily duck under it. I would recommend wearing a shell the whole time, if there is fresh snow, as there are many snow covered spruce bows you will encounter along the way.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: brought dog treats with me, but didn't see one single pooch the whole time, boooooooooo
Bugs
Bugs: are eaten by bats
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: Lost: STRESS Found: SANITY

Comments
Comments: SNOWSHOES DOOR TO DOOR. I ONLY SAW ONE OTHER PERSON ALL DAY, AND THAT WAS ON SAWYER RIVER RD. HE TOLD ME, THAT HE REGRETTED NOT HAVING SNOWSHOES.
All of Sawyer river rd. and Single ridge, had about a 2" cover of fresh, powdery snow, but the trail was broken out, easy to follow, and in great shape!
ADVICE: ONCE YOU PICK UP SIGNAL RIDGE TRAIL OFF OF SAWYER RIVER RD. YOU SHOULD DEFINATLY PUT YOUR TELEVATORS UP AROUND 2.2 MILES IN, AND YOU'LL BE ABLE TO KEEP THEM UP FOR ALMOST THE REMAINDER OF THE ASSENT.
HOPE THIS HELPS GUYS/GALS!!!!!
HAPPY TRAILS!!!
PLEASE PASS ANY HELPFUL INFO ON TO OTHERS!!
